The Infrastructure Behind Every Reliable System

Network and AV cabling is invisible when done right and a constant source of failure when done wrong. Our structured cabling team builds infrastructure that performs on day one and scales with your organization for years.

Structured cabling is the physical foundation of every networked and audiovisual system in your building — from workstation data drops and PoE-powered IP cameras to 4K HDMI runs feeding video walls and fiber backbone links connecting IDF closets to your MDF. When this infrastructure is designed and installed to ANSI/TIA-568-C and BICSI standards, every system built on top of it performs reliably and is straightforward to troubleshoot and expand.

Our low-voltage cabling team installs Cat6A horizontal runs for high-density PoE and 10GbE workstation environments, OS2 single-mode and OM4 multimode fiber for backbone and long-distance AV signal transport, and the full range of AV-specific cabling — HDMI 2.1, HDBaseT, SDI, Dante/AES67 over Cat6A, and plenum-rated speaker wire — that modern commercial AV systems require.

Every run is tested and certified using Fluke DSX-8000 cable analyzers, and a complete test report is delivered at project close. All work complies with NEC Article 800, California Title 24, and applicable ANSI/TIA standards.

Standards & Compliance

TIA-568-C ANSI/TIA structured cabling standard — the governing spec for all horizontal and backbone cable installation and termination.
BICSI TDMM Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual — referenced for pathway design, rack layout, and grounding practices.
NEC Art. 800 National Electrical Code communications wiring requirements — plenum, riser, and general-use cable selection and installation.
CA Title 24 California energy code requirements for low-voltage systems in commercial construction and tenant improvement projects.
EIA-310-D 19-inch rack standard — all equipment rack installations reference this spec for unit spacing and rail alignment.
IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ standard — all Cat6A installations are validated for 90W PoE delivery to support IP cameras, access points, and displays.

Our Cabling Process — Survey to Certification

Every cabling project begins with a thorough pathway and load assessment. We design before we pull — ensuring conduit sizing, rack capacity, and cable counts are right before a single run is installed.

1

Site Survey & Pathway Assessment

We walk every floor to document existing conduit, cable trays, ceiling access, and IDF/MDF locations. We verify structural ceiling heights, fire-rated assembly types (for plenum vs. riser cable selection), and available rack space before finalizing the design.

2

Cable Plant Design & Documentation

We produce a full cable plant design — floor plan overlays showing outlet locations, conduit routing, pathway capacity, rack elevation drawings, and a complete cable schedule with port-to-port labeling per TIA-606-B. A fixed-price proposal is delivered before any work begins.

3

Conduit, Pathway & Cable Installation

Our crew installs all conduit, raceway, J-hook supports, and cable trays before pulling cable — maintaining proper bend radius, fill ratios, and separation between data and power per NEC Article 800 and TIA-568-C requirements.

4

Termination, Rack Build & Certification Testing

All copper runs are terminated and labeled at both ends. Rack builds include patch panel dressing, cable management installation, and equipment mounting. Every run is then certified using a Fluke DSX-8000 analyzer — full digital pass/fail test reports are delivered with project as-built documentation.
